Expanding to Seattle
Newest GSG office will serve as firm’s CSR hub and base for rapidly expanding West Coast business
We are delighted to announce that GSG has opened a Seattle office. The office will be led by Senior Vice President and Managing Director Josh Chaitin, who brings with him a team from PRPOSE, a boutique corporate social responsibility firm that he co-founded. Josh and colleagues join GSG Managing Partner Marc Litvinoff, with plans to continue to expand the team.
The office will serve as our new hub for GSG’s CSR business, as well as the base for the firm’s rapidly-expanding group of Seattle and West Coast clients that include Vulcan, the Gates Foundation, the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, along with clients such as FSG and Subaru.
Chaitin brings over 20 years of experience helping clients such as REI, Nordstrom, Starbucks, and Alaska Airlines, create and promote purpose-driven initiatives that help distinguish brands focused on addressing critical social and environmental issues. Prior to founding PRPOSE, Chaitin was a Senior Vice President at Edelman, where he led the firm’s Business + Social Purpose practice group in Seattle.
“With our growing stable of Seattle and West Coast clients, this is an exciting opportunity for us to further expand our footprint in the region, as well as continue to grow our corporate and social impact work,” said Tanya Meck, partner and head of GSG’s national communications practice. “We have known Josh and his work for years and this was the perfect time for him and his team to join our GSG family. They will be a great asset to our clients and to our growing business.”
“We are thrilled to become part of the GSG family and to combine our focus on purpose-driven work with GSG’s full suite of PR capabilities,” said Chaitin. “I’m especially excited about GSG’s deep experience in data-based communications, measurement and a focus on ROI. This partnership will allow us to enhance our work with current and future clients, helping them create positive change while demonstrating the value of impact-driven work.”
Seattle is GSG’s sixth office across the US, joining New York, Washington, DC, Hartford, CT, Denver, and Chicago.
