Global Strategy Group Launches Analytics Practice

Solution will help companies better understand consumers and campaigns better understand voters

Global Strategy Group (GSG) announced today the launch of its new Analytics Practice that will help companies better understand consumers and campaigns better understand voters by taking advantage of new technology and the enormous amounts of data now available.Combined with the firm’s award-winning public opinion polling capabilities, the practice will provide an integrated approach that gives organizations the most nuanced understanding of how to reach their customers, key constituents, voters and other audiences in a more consistent, compelling way.

GSG Analytics will be led by Emily Norman, an alum of Obama for America’s analytics team and McKinsey & Company. She joins an existing team of experienced data scientists and digital experts and will work alongside one of the largest and most recognized polling teams in the country led by top Democratic pollsters Nick Gourevitch and Jefrey Pollock.

GSG’s offering brings the application of new technology and data visualization to the worlds of polling and analytics. It combines proprietary data with large investments in consumer, voter,and public information files, and includes Predictive Modeling, Segmentation, Digital Analytics,and Experimental Design.

Norman brings to GSG a cross-disciplinary background in traditional management consulting,electoral politics and data science. She has held roles within the Democratic National Committee and Obama for America, including serving as Analytics Operation Vote Lead (leading national constituency analytics) and Colorado Data Director in President Obama’s re-election campaign. She also worked at Deloitte and McKinsey & Company with clients across the corporate, higher education, and national government spaces. She served as Director of Datafor KIPP, the charter school network, and consulted on projects for the United Nations, OscarHealth, EMILY’s List, and the AFL-CIO. She is also a recent graduate of Harvard University’s Kennedy School for Public Policy.

GSG’s Research Practice includes one of the largest and most respected polling teams in thecountry and counts multiple PhDs on staff. GSG has polled in more federal races than any other Democratic polling firm since the 2010 election cycle.
