Growing up with activist parents who taught at the local university, Fasharra grew up around political discussion and discourse. However, her real fascination with government and politics did not fully blossom until she went to college and joined the local canvassing group for Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign.
Since then, Fasharra has gained professional experience at two legal aid organizations – Illinois Legal Aid Oniline and GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders) – as well as non-profits Girls Inc., Bill of Rights Defense Committee, and National Priorities Project. In her latest position, while earning her Masters degree in American Government, Fasharra was a Junior Analyst Fellow at Lake Research Partners. There, she assisted in numerous projects like election polling for the Virginia Democratic House Caucus.
At GSG, Fasharra takes her fascination with politics and different experiences and applies them toward opinion research studies for political, public affairs, and corporate clients.
In her free time, she likes to travel, read, and try new restaurants.
