For over a decade, John has leveraged research to help some of the most influential companies in the world tell their stories, burnish their brands, and win key legislative and regulatory battles. He’s worked with communications, insights, and public policy teams at companies like Amazon, Citi, Comcast, and ESPN to help them craft data-driven strategies to achieve their goals.
As part of his work at GSG, John also co-leads the Employee Communications practice, authoring seminal thought leadership studies on what employees value in communication from their employer. He’s worked with companies like General Motors and Pfizer to help them effectively reach their employees.
Prior to joining GSG, John worked for the Chief Strategy Officer at Microsoft, running the quick-turn polling operation that informed Microsoft’s strategic direction in a period of broad organizational change following Satya Nadella’s appointment as CEO. He also spent nearly five years as a researcher and strategist building communications campaigns at The Glover Park Group.
John graduated Phi Beta Kappa from American University and currently resides in Washington, D.C. with his amazing wife, Theresa.
