Matt first joined GSG as a summer intern on the Research Team in 2018. Since then, he has returned as a Research Associate, and conducts quantitative and qualitative research for political, nonprofit and corporate clients.
Matt became involved in politics at the age of 13 when he volunteered for Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign in his hometown of Columbus, OH. After working as an organizing fellow on Obama’s reelection campaign, Matt graduated from The George Washington University with a degree in Political Science. While studying, Matt interned for Senator Sherrod Brown and The Sheridan Group. He also spent his junior year studying abroad at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Matt went on to earn his Master’s degree in American Politics from New York University.
When not scrolling through Politico, Matt enjoys snowboarding, photography and exploring New York City. He’s also an avid traveler, having visited nearly 40 countries.
